The Reds(Drum) are in the shallows, the nearshore action has been on fire with Dolphin(Mahi-Mahi), King Mackerel and Grouper hungry and abundant, and the Billfish action offshore has been spectacular!! We have seen hundreds of Reds in water less than 18″ deep in the past few trips and most have been willing to crash a topwater plug, a school of over a hundred fish produced 20 fish out of 30 bites in under an hour and a half just the other afternoon! The fish are mostly slot sized(18-27″) with some big 30″+ fished mixed in. From the Inlets out to 20 miles offshore the fishing has been fantastic with dozens of species to choose from, such as Amberjack, Kings, Mahi, Sailfish, and Grouper, all ready and willing to bite Bait,Plug,or Fly! Offshore, the fishing for Marlin(both Blue and White), Sailfish, Wahoo, Dolphin, and Tuna has been pretty consistent all spring . Captain Jon has been fishng with the 58′ Bayliss Boatworks ‘Figment’ captained by Glynn Loftin out of Morehead City,NC this year, and we were fortunate enough to hold on to Second Place in the 2009 Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament with our 439lb. Blue Marlin as well as the First Place Tuna(98lbs)! It was a very exciting week to say the least! The coming months should hold opportunities galore both in the shallows and outside the inlets, so if you can save up some free time give me a call and we’ll get out on the water!

Thanks Again and Tight Lines,
Jon
